MACC Receives Consent To Prosecute Lim Guan Eng

THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has received consent from the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) to prosecute former Penang Chief Minister, YB Lim Guan Eng.

Prosecution details are as below:
Date : 7th August 2020 (9 am)
Location : Special Corruption Court, Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur.

Offenses : Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
Date : 10th August 2020 (9 am)
Location : Penang Sessions Court
Offenses : Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009

Both charges in the Kuala Lumpur and Penang Courts are related to Penang undersea tunnel project.

Meanwhile, the MACC also received consent from the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) to prosecute YB Lim Guan Eng on a different case. Prosecution details are as below:

Date : 11th August 2020 (9 am)
Location : Penang Sessions Court
Offenses : Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009
