THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has received the details regarding the breakdown of the economic stimulus package funds spent by the government in 2020 and 2021 relating to the management of Covid-19 from the Ministry of Finance.
The results of the initial investigation found that the amount of allocation involved was estimated to be RM530 billion. Out of that amount, RM92.5 billion involves government funds while RM437.5 billion is not from the government.
Thus, the MACC’s investigation will be focusing on the RM92.5 billion fund. The Ministry of Finance is detailing the breakdown and will submit it to MACC next week.
