EPF Expresses Commitment to Fight Corruption through IBR

SHAH ALAM, 16 Aug  The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) expresses their commitment towards the integrity enhancement and anti-corruption agenda by taking the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) at Mercu KWSP, Kwasa Damansara here today. 

The IBR session was part of the EPF Corporate Integrity Pledge programme attended physically by 180 employees from the headquarters. The event was also attended virtually via the Teams application by those in 69 branches and departments in six regions.

In his speech, Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir, Chairman of the EPF Board, emphasised on the importance of integrity and good governance as a key indicator in EPF management. He also called upon the EPF workforce to play their role in ensuring corruption does not seep into their work environment.

Meanwhile, Datuk Razim Mohd Noor, Director of the MACC Community Education Division, said that since 2018 up to July 2022, 14 corruption-related information on EPF were received by MACC.

"From the total information, 5 or 35.7% were related to corruption and abuse of power while 7.14% were related to penal code cases.

"I can say that EPF is on the right track in managing integrity and corruption issues in the organisation. Sure, we received some information but it is still under control", he said.

The pledge was led byDatuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, CEO of EPF and witnessed by Datuk Razim.
