MACC Creates History By Producing Well Trained and Highly Competent Officers

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 OKT. – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) remains committed to producing highly skilled and trained officers to increase public confidence in its mission to fight corruption, malpractice, and abuse of power.

The MACC Officer Basic Training (Superintendent P41) Series 24 Number 1 Year 2019 is a pioneer to the MACC Basic Training Accreditation Programme and the studies of Post Graduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership (Level 7). This training takes a period of nine months working days, witnessing a collaboration between the MACC and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), United Kingdom.

THE MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki said, a total of 56 cadet officers of Superintendent Grade P41 have successfully completed the basic training and were awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership (Level 7).

“Every year, thousands of applications were received to join the MACC. All of you should be grateful for being among the selected people who have been accepted as MACC staff. I would like to take this opportunity to call upon you to appreciate the concept of togetherness in whatever actions and challenges you face. This togetherness is an important element in determining the success of an organisation.”

“Furthermore, don’t be ‘the snake in the grass’ that will bring down our beloved organisation that we have built. Serve the organisation faithfully and do not become a destructive parasite," he said.

He added that hopefully the basic training and the transition course could guide the new MACC officers to adapt to the work environment at the MACC which requires officers to have a high level of mental and physical resilience and integrity.

He said that in the MACC Officer Basic Training Graduation Ceremony Series 24 Number 1 Year 2019 (Superintendent P41) and the Transition Course Series 5 Number 2 Year 2020 (Superintendent P42) that was held at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) today.

In the ceremony, Ps Nur Athikah Aziz has nominated as the Best Cadet Award for the Series 24 Number 1 Year 2019 (Superintendent P41), Ps Nur Sabrina Ali has awarded the Best Academic Award while Ps Khairul Anuwar Kamarul Zaman has awarded the Best Outdoor Training Award.

In addition, the audience also celebrated the MACA New Corporate Video Launch Ceremony right after the Graduation Ceremony.

Also, in attendance the MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya; Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali; Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management and Professionalism), Dato’ Junipah Wandi; Director of MACA, Dato’ Idris Zaharudin; MACC Senior Directors and the Directors of MACC Divisions.
