SHAH ALAM, 5 Oct — Dato’ Haji Alias Salim, Director of MACC Selangor received a courtesy call from Mr. Mohamad Shukri Nawi, Director of the Selangor Immigration Department at the MACC Selangor Office Complex today.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to build continual strategic cooperation between MACC Selangor and the Selangor Immigration Department in an effort to enhance integrity and disseminate anti-corruption messages to ensure good governance among the Selangor Immigration Department workforce.

Dato’ Alias Salim in his briefing explained the roles of MACC and the four (4) main offences under the MACC Act 2009, besides calling upon civil servants in Selangor, particularly the Immigration Department, to report all forms of corruption happening around them, and most importantly, to come forward to lodge a report when offered a bribe.

This meeting is hoped to be a starting point for a strong cooperation between MACC Selangor and Selangor Immigration Department.
