NAYC 2021 Program Widely Spread Anti-corruption Messages

TANJUNG MALIM, 11 April –The National Anti-Corruption Youth Consortium (NAYC) 2021 Program was held at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan ldris (UPSI) on 9th until 11th April.

The program was held by the Anti-Corruption Student Force (ACF) ALUMNI in collaboration with the Malaysia Reform Initiative (MARI) and MACC Community Education Division (PenMas) and was conducted face to face as well as online with the participation of 100 members of Perak State Youth Non-Government Organisation (NGO).

The objective of this program is to educate and to provide exposure about anti-corruption and integrity messages by approaching influenced youths in becoming MACC’s 'eyes and ears' in order to channel information about corruption and disseminate anti-corruption messages to the public.

Meanwhile, MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil in his opening speech during the virtual launch of E-games Module & Integrity encourages all parties especially Youth NGOs play an important role in achieving the initiatives of the 2019 - 2023 National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) which was structured by the government.

"The anti-corruption agenda must be considered an important agenda in order for Malaysians to be known for integrity and not for corruption. Bribers must be viewed with discontent and corruption must be avoided. The success of a country in tackling this crime depends on the support of the community as a result of close cooperation with enforcement agencies such as the MACC," he added.

This module is the product of ACF ALUMNI’s commitment in implementing social responsibility to the country in order to support the fight against corruption agenda together with MACC. It will be distributed to members of Angkatan Mahasiswa Antirasuah (AMAR) nationwide as an activity reference instrument which contains integrity and anti-corruption messages.

The efforts of these ACF ALUMNI members will also be dedicated to Malaysians in order for embracing hate towards corruption can be done together.

Also present at the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs & Alumni (HEPA) of UPSI (performing the functions of UPSI Vice Chancellor), Professor Dr Md. Amin Md Taff; Senior Officer of MARI, Mohd Hanil Abdullah; Assistant District Education Officer (School Management), Batang Padang District Education Office, Norazam Mat Isa and President of ACF ALUMNI, Hariz Faisal Abdul Halim.
