MACC PROPOSED RECOMMENDATIONS DURING ADVISORY SERVICE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY SERVICES [ 07 Mar 2024 ]

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has provided advisory service to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and it was agreed that DVS shall implement five recommendations regarding the Management Process of the Poultry and Egg Subsidy Programme.

The poultry and egg subsidy is the government’s initiative to assist poultry and egg industry breeders affected by rising production costs. The recommendations includes, but not limited to conducting physical inspections at poultry farms, updating the Guidelines for Poultry and Egg Subsidy Applications, establishing a Conflict of Interest policy, and requiring members of the Subsidy Approval Committee to sign a Conflict of Interest declaration.

Among those present were the Deputy Director-General of JPV, Dr. Suratan Kamaruddin, and the Deputy Director 1 of the Governance Investigation Division, MACC, Maznah Che Muda.
