Beware of Fake Calls
THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)is advising the public to be careful and don’t be fooled if they received asuspicious phone call claiming it is from MACC asking for a few personalinformation including sensitive details because it is worried that it is a fakecall.
This is following the complaints received byMACC from victims that were fooled with those recent fake calls.
Regarding the matter, people who receive thissuspicious call are advised to obtain confirmation from any nearest MACCoffices through the phone number and address that are shown at the MACC’sofficial portal www.sprm.gov.my.
MACC will also make police reports and hope thatthe Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will investigatethese fake calls that have affected the MACC’s name and reputation.THEMALAYSIAN ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION
