In connection with the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision on 19 June 2020, to dismiss forfeiture suits filed by the government on the sum of RM194 million allegedly linked to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), the Attorney General's Chambers will file an appeal to the Court of Appeal in the near future.

Appeal against the four entities, namely the United Malays National Organization (UMNO), Wanita MCA, Binsabi Sdn. Bhd. and Perano Sdn. Bhd. will be filed by the prosecution of the Attorney General's Chambers. The appeal period is two weeks from the date of the court's decision.
