MACC Lodges Police Report Over False Statement By Bersatu Member

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) lodged a police report today against a TikTok post by the account owner of @wancin11 .

In the posting, Terengganu Bersatu Chief Datuk Razali bin Idris has made several false accusations in his speech during the launching ceremony of Kemaman Parliament By-Election (PRK) machinery on 10 November 2023.

He has claimed that the government machinery, MACC and judges are controlled by the current government, as well as disputing the decision of the High Court Judge regarding the conviction of four charges against the former Minister of Youth and Sports.

MACC treats the slanderous statements and accusations with utmost seriousness, recognising the potential impact on the public’s trust in the country’s enforcement and legal systems.

MACC is an enforcement body empowered by law to carry out its anti-corruption functions and roles independently and professionally without being controlled by any party.

Therefore, MACC hopes that the appropriate action can be taken against those who created and spread those slanderous statements and accusations.
