MACC Calls Upon All Parties To Collaborate And Unite To Raise The CPI Score

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) views seriously the result of Malaysia’s score and ranking in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2021 which was announced by Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) today.

The CPI 2021 has shown a decline from the scoring of 51 to 48, a consecutive decline since 2019.

In this regard, the MACC calls upon all parties to continue to collaborate with a common vision, as well as having the political will to improve anti-corruption efforts in the country because the Commission is subject to its jurisdiction as an enforcement agency.

In the meantime, the MACC will review the findings by TI-M relating to the CPI 2021 score and will provide recommendations in the near future.
