Sinar Harian Misreported MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner Of Prevention’s Statement
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) denies that the agency’s Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil has issued a false, misleading and accusatory statement as stated in a media statement by the Public Services Commission of Malaysia (SPA) yesterday.
The MACC emphasised that Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin's statement regarding the issue of the appointment of MACC Chief Commissioner at the #RasuahBusters Launching Ceremony with Allianz Malaysia yesterday, was misreported by Sinar Harian and uploaded through their news portal.
Following that, Sinar Harian has corrected the statement and admitted that an error has occurred as in the following link:
In this regard, the MACC requests any party not to polemicize the matter because the statement published was never issued and has nothing to do with the MACC or any officer of the Commission.
