MACC Lodges Police Report On Allegations That Tarnish Image

The top management of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) takes seriously the allegations made by an individual against MACC officers who allegedly received threats in the recent investigation related to Macau Scam.

The individual has lodged a police report on the matter two months after he was released from MACC remand. Copies of the report have been spread by certain parties, thus tarnishing the good image of the MACC.

In this regard, a MACC officer lodged an official report with the police today to deny the individual's allegations and urged the police to conduct an investigation into the false report.

MACC will not protect any party if the allegation against the MACC officers is true; however, if the report is false, then the individual must be brought to justice.
