Guan Eng Charged With 2 Charges Of State Government Land Disposal

Lim Guan Eng, the former Finance Minister and also former Penang Chief Minister was charged at the Butterworth Sessions Court for two charges of causing two Penang state government owned lots worth RM208.8 million to be disposed to a development company involving the state’s underwater tunnel project.

For both accusations, he was charged under Section 403 Penal Code [Act 574] that provisioned imprisonment of a minimum of six months and a maximum of five years, whipping and a fine, if found guilty.
