Integrity Officers in External Agencies Need to Be Competent In Handling Various Issues

PUTRAJAYA, 13 Oct. - The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Azam Baki urged the MACC Integrity Officers at the Integrity Unit (Ul) of Government Agencies and the Integrity and Governance Units (IGU) of Government Linked Companies (GLC) to always be alert with current surrounding issues that involve MACC.

"Integrity officers need to be alert with current country and department issues, competent in analyzing information and acts as a whistleblower in their respective agencies".

He said that in the Mesyuarat Pengurusan Tertinggi SPRM bersama Pegawai SPRM yang ditempatkan ke Agensi Luar (MPSAL), Siri 28, Bil. 2, Tahun 2020 that was attended by Integrity Officers at UI/IGU.

He added that officers that were placed at external agencies are considered MACC's small ambassadors that carry big responsibilities in upholding MACC's good image and name.

In attendance were the MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd. Jamil; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management & Professionalism), Dato' Junipah Wandi and MACC Division Directors.
