KSN Officiated MACC Terengganu New Complex

TERENGGANU, 1 Oct. – The Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia (KSN), Tan Sri Mohd. Zuki Ali officiated the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Terengganu complex.

This ceremony was held in conjunction with MACC’s 53rd Anniversary Celebration or formerly known as Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA).

“The enforcement of the MACC Act 2009 has seen the MACC undergo a structural transformation towards increasing efficiency, effectiveness and transparency in operations and service delivery.”

“I believe, the MACC under the leadership of current top management will continue to accelerate the achievement of the country, especially in the fight against corruption in our country and further uphold the country's name in the eyes of the world.”

This Terengganu architectural building is located in Bandar Baru Bukit Besar, Kuala Terengganu which is a centralised administrative development area for Terengganu.

This RM38 million complex was set up at the end of October 2016 and officially handed over on 15 July 2019.

This Complex consists of three blocks that are fully equipped with facilities such as a witness statement recording room, Video Interviewing Room (VIR), lock-up, Investigations Operations Room (BGOS), Seminar Hall, Warehouse for Seized Goods, Identity Parade Room and Surau.

Besides that, this complex is also equipped with closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) around its compound.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was the MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki; Terengganu State Secretary, Dato’ Mohd. Zahari Md. Azahar; Deputy Chief Senior Secretary of Prime Minister’s Department; Dato’ Mohd. Sallehuddin Hassan; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd. Jamil; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations), Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management & Professionalism), Dato' Junipah Wandi; Director of MACC Terengganu, KPKPj Ruslan Che Amad and the MACC states and divisions' Directors.
