INDERA MAHKOTA, 24 April – In conjunction with Earth Day 2024, Department of Environment (DOE) Pahang has partnered with MACC Pahang to organised Issues In Public Procurement Awareness Dialogue session as a continuous effort to provide insights to DOE staff members upon risks of fund leakages in public procurement.

Attended by 78 DOE officers and staff members, the session began with an Anti-Corruption dialogue led by KPKPs Mohamad bin Hussain from the MACC Pahang Community Education Division, with focus on procurement issues involving organisational governance and officers’ misconduct that often occur in the public sector.

The session also highlighted some of corruption cases related to procurement issues that have been prosecuted and sentenced by courts in Malaysia. The programme ended with the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) andsigning Ceremony led by Haji Wandi Yadzid bin Haji Yaakob, Director of DOEPahang and witnessed by PPj Shazleen binti Md Noh, Deputy Director (Prevention)of MACC Pahang.
