MAHB 'Leading Governance With Integrity' Forum And Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) Ceremony

SEPANG, 20 Dec – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has witnessed Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB)’s Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) as part of its effort to strengthen integrity in corruption prevention, at Sama-Sama Hotel, KLIA

 

The Corruption-Free Pledge Ceremony was led by Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of MAHB, Mohamed Rastam Shahrom along with 220 MAHB staff members and was witnessed by MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Seri Norazlan bin Mohd Razali. Also present at the ceremony was the Director of MACC Community Education Division, TPj Nazli Rasyid Haji Sulong.

 

Datuk Seri Norazlan in his keynote address at this event reminded the attendees that the task of preventing corruption are the responsibilities of all members in the organisation; from the top management to its supporting members. The noble value of integrity should be at the heart of GLC organisations such as MAHB. Therefore, elements of human capital development such as strengthening integrity should always be practiced at all times and transparency and trust in carrying out tasks should be the main principles of MAHB.

 

Prior to ceremony, MACC was invited on knowledge sharing session on the roles of MACC and Corporate Liability, Section 17A, MACC Act 2009 delivered by Ps Thilak a/l Munusamy from the Private Branch, Community Education Division. The session ensued with 'Leading Governance with Integrity' forum moderated by Shuhairoz binti Mohamed Shukeri,  Senior Assistant Director, Services and Management Division of MAHB, along with three panel invitees; PKPj Mohd Hasraff bin Hashim, Head of Private Branch, Community Education Division, Dominic Chegne How Kooi, President of the Institute of Internal Auditor Malaysia (IIAM) and Ahmad Qadri Jahubar Santhik, Partner of Ernst & Young PLT.

 

The corruption prevention literacy programme has also involved interactive exhibition from MACC that showcases service videos and exhibition materials related to the role and functions of MACC as well as polygraph tools in providing exposure and education on corruption prevention to the community at large.
