MACC Collaborates With MAPCU, Swinburne Sarawak In International Anti-Corruption Day Celebration (IACD) 2023 For Sarawak Zone

KUCHING, 18 Nov  — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in collaboration with the Association of Private Colleges And Universities Malaysia (MAPCU), and Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak as a strategic partner has organised International Anti-Corruption Day Celebration (IACD) 2023 for the Sarawak Zone themed "Uniting the World Against Corruption".

 

 

The keynote address and introduction of MACC was delivered by YBhg. Datuk Mohd Zaki bin Hassan, Director of MACC Sarawak. The aim of the forum is to educate younger generation and to increase understanding of corruption crimes in the workplace, with aspirations to eliminate corruption, improving country image, beginning with Sarawak that has placed great emphasis on anti-corruption education and integrity.

 

 

The Anti-Corruption Forum session entitled "Towards a Corruption-Free Generation" was conducted by Mrs Evelyn Tan along with three panelists, TPj Nazli Rasyid bin Haji Sulong, Director of MACC Community Education Division, Mr. James Loi, Law Lecturer of Swinburne University of Technology and Marc Harting Ajin, Student Representative of Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak.

 

 

The forum session also conclude that corruption prevention has started at the school level and extended to higher learning institutions through MACC prevention initiatives, as an early preventive measures to prepare younger generation from being involved in corruption when they have ventured into the workforce.
