Anti-Corruption in Procurement Program with Pengkalan Hulu District Council (MDPH) Perak

PENGKALAN HULU, 12 September – A total of 77 members of the Council and staff of Pengkalan Hulu District Council (MDPH) Perak have expressed their commitment together in the fight against corruption through Anti-Corruption Procurement Program at Pengkalan Hulu District Council, Perak.

 

 

The program begins with Anti-Corruption Talk, with focus on procurement and enforcement issues. The talk also discussed on the role of Council Members and MDPH staff in addressing problem faced by rakyat related to services and management provided by the local authorities.

 

 

Subsequently, a meeting was held between KPKPj Mustafa Kamal bin Ahmad, Deputy Director (Operations) of MACC Perak with Ms. Noraslina binti Saidin, Secretary of Pengkalan Hulu District Council to discuss issues related to acceptance of sponsorship or reward from companies of interest, no punitive or legal actions were taken against abandoned projects and approval of projects that did not adhere to specified specifications. The meeting also ventures on collaborative anti-corruption programs including corruption prevention PSA through digital billboards.

 

 

Also present, Mr. Meor Shahibul Fadhilah bin Zainuddin, President of MDPH, Ps Hazirah binti Hussain, Head of the Perak MACC Community Education Unit and officers of the Perak MACC Community Education Unit.
