IBR: Corruption-Free Pledge and Signing with Launch of Tabung Haji Integrity Plan 2023-2027

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 August - “Organisations needs to view corruption and leakages of funds as a critical issue that warrants immediate attention, so that national income can be increased and we can prosper as nation”.

 

The message was conveyed by MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Azam Baki in his speech at the Signing Ceremony of the Corruption-Free Pledge and the Launching of the Tabung Haji Integrity Plan 2023-2027, held at the Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) Building.

 

Tan Sri Azam in his speech said, strengthened integrity begins with TH and its staff member to circumvent corruption that is impactful to the country.

 

"It is important to strengthen integrity among TH employees to avoid leakage of funds that will have an impact on our beloved nation," he said.

 

Tan Sri Dato' Sri Azam also stressed that the IBR pledged implemented by TH staff is not only one-off or merely cosmetics, but should be followed by various actions to strengthen the integrity and trust in the day-to-day tasks.

 

He also called for TH to strengthen the Integrity Unit in the organisation to ensure that the leakage of government funds can be avoided totally.

 

TH Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Tuan Syed Hamadah Syed Othman led the IBR pledge together with 200 TH staff members, witnessed by the MACC Chief Commissioner.

 

Also present, Chairman of Lembaga Tabung Haji, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar and Director of MACC Community Education Division, KPKPj Nazli Rasyid Sulong.
