MACC calls for organisations to shoulder responsibility in eradicating corruption

BANGI,  2 August - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) calls on every organisation to take on its role and responsibility in fully eradicating corruption.

 

MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali who is also a panellist for "Combatting Corruption Risk" at the ARiMM Risk Management Conference & C-Suite Forum 2023 said, efforts to eradicate corruption are the responsibility of every heads of departments in the organisation.

 

"All heads of departments, whether in government or private sector must be responsible in eradicating or dealing with corruption and abuse of power”.

 

"This role needs to be implemented collectively and the MACC will assist if the organisation needs advice or cooperation," he said.

 

According to him, the efforts made by the MACC also require the support of each party and the anti-corruption efforts can begin anywhere.

 

Held at held at Bangi Resort Hotel, the forum was also attended by the Chairman of Gamuda Berhad, Tan Sri Dato' Setia Haji Ambrin Buang; President of Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M), Dr. Muhammad Mohan and moderated by Tuan Philip S.Rao.
