MACC and LHDNM Sarawak joined hands in Anti-Corruption Talk and Dialogue Program with Sarawak

KUCHING,20 July  – MACC Sarawak has held an Anti-Corruption Talk and Dialogue Program with Sarawak Inland Revenue Board (IRBM) Officers at Dewan Hasil Aras 4, Menara Hasil Kuching, Sarawak.

Attended by 100 IRB officers and staff member, the program aimed to increase awareness related to enforcement actions and to share knowledge pertaining to good practices, regulations and procedures.

The program kicked off with Knowledge Sharing session "Biasakan Yang Betul, Betulkan Yang Biasa" delivered by PPj Mardiana binti Han, Head of Community Education Branch, MACC Sarawak with opening remarks from KPKPj Hasbilah bin Mohamad Salleh, Deputy Director (Operations) of MACC Sarawak.

In his speech, KPKPj Hasbilah stressed the importance of strategic cooperation in the fight against corruption, abuse of power and malpractice through the involvement of agencies in strengthening identity.

Meanwhile, Tuan Vijayen Nagalinghem, State Director of LHDNM Sarawak stressed that efforts towards further enhancing the credibility of law enforcement, restructuring the procurement system as well as strengthening the efficiency of governance and quality of services of IRBM can prevent the occurrence of national tax leakage. He also expressed his intention to continue the strategic cooperation between the two agencies through similar programs to Bintulu and Miri Divisions.

This program has received strong support from IRBM Senior Management in an effort to further strengthen the values of integrity and accountability among its officer, towards a more efficient and effective dimension as a collection agency and direct tax administrator in Malaysia.

The highlight of this program was the Dialogue Session with the concept of Talk Show "Bring The Next Level: Shaping A Corruption-Free Future" and the "Kitak Tanyak, Kamek Jawab" Dialogue with KPKPj Hasbilah bin Mohamad Salleh, Deputy Director (Operations) of MACC Sarawak.
