KOTA BHARU, 13 July – MACC Kelantan together with the Kelantan State Mufti Department had organised an Anti-Corruption Talk Programme involving all staff of the Kelantan State Mufti Department of 37 people at the Meeting Room, Kelantan Mufti Department.

The talk was delivered by Ps Wan Siti Junaida Ismail, Head of Community Education Unit, MACC Kelantan on corruption offences under the MACC Act 2009.

Ps Wan Siti Junaida Ismail described in detail 4 major offences under the MACC Act 2009 relating to corruption among civil servants in the country.  She also shared are examples of real cases of corruption in government procurement as well as the impact on individuals, organizations and economic development of the country. In her session, she emphasized on the obligation to report corruption and protections under Whistleblower Protection Act 2010.

Also present, YBhg. Sahibus Samahah Dato' Kaya Perba Haji Mohamad Shukri bin Mohamad, Mufti of the Kelantan State Government and YBhg. Sahibus Fadhilah Dato' Haji Nik Abdul Kadir bin Haji Nik Mohamad, Deputy Mufti of the Kelantan State Government.
