PENANG, 23 June - An Advocacy Programme for the Designation of Public Bodies towards State and Area Farmers' Organisations (PPN & PPK) Towards Preventing Leakage of Funds Year 2023 (Series 4) was held at the PPK Lahar Bubu Farmers Hall, Kepala Batas, Penang with collaboration of the Registrar of Farmers' Organizations.

The programme aimed is to educate, provide awareness and understanding on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (Designation of Public Bodies) Order 2023 against the Farmers' Organisation as well as towards good management of funds and governance in the Organization thus reducing the leakage of government funds.

The programme began with a welcome speech by the Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of PPK Lahar Bubu, YBhg. Datuk Haji Md Zabidi bin Arifin and followed by the Director of Community Education Division, MACC, Datuk Razim bin Mohd Nor.

The programme was followed by a special briefing and dialogue delivered by officers from the Sociocultural and Political Branch (CSBP) and KPKPs Kamsiah Ahmad of Community Education Division (PenMas), focusing on the implications of the gazetting of public bodies on farmers' organizations as well as good management of funds and governance in reducing the leakage of government funds.

The program was attended by 120 participants including the Director of Penang State LPP, Chairman of PPK Board Member Lahar Bubu, Deputy State Director of LPP, General Manager of Penang State LPP and Board of Directors of PPN and PPK.
