Anti-corruption Program (Procurement) and Corruption-Free Pledge signing with Selandar Community College Melaka

MELAKA, 18 May - Selandar Community College (under the purview of Ministry of Higher Education) has held an Anti-Corruption Talk, together with Melaka MACC. The “Crime of Corruption: What is Our Role?” talk, was presented by PsK Ahmad Faizul bin Abdul Rashid, Deputy Director (Prevention) MACC Melaka.

 

The talk highlighted several procurement issues in varsities, including educators and management staff members who manipulated procurement process for their personal gain. The session continued with issues on corruption that destroys various central relationships needed for peaceful, harmonious development in Malaysia. The talk were delivered by YBrs. PKPj Mohd Shahril bin Che Saad, Melaka MACC Director.

 

The sessions ended with Corruption-Free Pledge reading and signing ceremony, officiated by YBrs. PKPj Mohd Shahril. In his speech, he reminded attending members not to get involved in corruption crimes, especially lecturers and educators who are often associated with allocation distribution issues, and look back on their roles to educate and empower future generations.

 

MACC Melaka also took the initiative to further educate on MACC roles and functions in eradicating corruption offences in Malaysia, by handing over promotional booklets to Mr. Rozali Rozali bin Ibrahim, Director of Selandar Community College
