MACC COMMITTED TO BUILD COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH UiTM TO EDUCATE ANTI CORRUPTION

SHAH ALAM, May 12 – MACC will give firm commitment to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in executing initiative to educate its staff and students regarding anti-corruption. The Commission is in close cooperation with UiTM through a number of educational programs organised prior. It was expressed by MACC Community Education Division Director, Datuk Razim Mohd Noor while speaking at the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) ceremony, organised by Centre of Responsibility (PTJ) under the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor UiTM.

Datuk Razim also praised UiTM's efforts in institutionalising IBR through the Vice Chancellor's Circular No. 9 of 2022 to be implemented when a Head of Responsibility Center (PTJ) is replaced. This is due to PTJ's duty as a gatekeeper will involve the acquisition and management of the university's finances are prone to risk of corruption. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the 'check and balance' review before deciding on any issues of importance.

IBR pledge was led by UiTM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor with 500 officers from all PTJ in UiTM. Also present was the UiTM Legal Advisor, Prof. Dr. Haidar Dziyauddin.
