ALOR SETAR, 20 September  – The Kedah State Development Office (PPN) (ICU JPM) held a Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) Ceremony and Anti-Corruption Talk at the Auditorium Bangunan Persekutuan Anak Bukit, Alor Setar.

The event began with a speech by Ms. Zaiton binti Yahya, Director of Kedah PPN. In her speech, she expressed this IBR ceremony aligns with Kedah PPN's aspiration to curb corruption and abuse of power, in addition to enhancing integrity among the top management and the workforce of Kedah PPN. 

The event continued with a speech by Dato’ Shaharom Nizam bin Abd Manap, Director of Kedah MACC. He conveyed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by Kedah PPN as a strong show of support to MACC and explained the purpose and importance of IBR as well as continuous action that can be taken to ensure continuous anti-corruption efforts in the state known as the "rice bowl" of the country.

A talk entitled "Integrity vs Corrupt Mind" was delivered by Asst. Supt. Mohd Azfar bin Johari from the Kedah MACC CommEdu Unit to 150 staff members of Kedah PPN who attended.

MACC hopes that the IBR Ceremony can directly instill and cultivate a spirit of working in an environment with high levels of integrity among the Kedah PPN workforce towards fighting corruption.
