Collaboration Between MACC And IPT Increase Understanding On Corruption

PUTRAJAYA 29 July- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is ready to collaborate with the local Higher Education Institutions (IPT)  in an effort to increase the understanding of corruption among students. 

The MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki said that it is important for MACC and IPT to collaborate in cultivating an anti-corruption culture among students to create a high integrity workforce and leaders in future. 

"The MACC is ready to assist in implementing anti-corruption programmes and learning so that in the next four or five years, we will produce future leaders and workforce of high integrity. 

"Early preparation especially in IPT level is essential to give students an understanding before they step into their careers." 

He said that during the Sinar Live programme entitled,  'The Results of Perception Study towards The Tendency of Corrupt Behaviour Among Students' which has been broadcasted live on all Sinar Harian digital platforms. 

He added, the MACC hopes that the Anti-Corruption Students Force (AMAR) will be intensified to help IPT managements to provide a better understanding to the students. 

The Sinar Live programme in collaboration with the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Foundation (YARM) also presented the Chairman of Karangkraf Group, Datuk Hussamuddin Haji Yaacub and the former magistrate, Firdaus Ramlan.
