MACC Strengthens Strategic Collaboration With NTU, UK

PUTRAJAYA, 27 July – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) continues to strengthen its strategic collaboration with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), United Kingdom (UK) in the academic field.

The MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki said the five-year collaboration until 2025 through these two education programs were signed under the Signing Ceremony of Cooperation (Second Supplementary Agreement) between the two parties which was conducted virtually today.

This agreement is a continuation of the first agreement which was made in 2017, where it shows the commitment of MACC and the Malaysian government to ensure civil servants are provided with good and adequate education level in line with the current global knowledge needs and skills.

 

“The appointment of NTU, UK as a strategic partner together with MACC is aimed to further improve the education quality in the field of enforcement and corruption prevention in Malaysia and at the international level.

“The MACC through its academy, which is the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) has introduced two education programs which consisted of the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies at the 5th level and the Postgraduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership at the 7th level,” he said.

He added that today’s agreement is expected to produce graduates who are able to fulfil job requirements whether they choose to serve in the operations, prevention or education sectors.

Also present were the MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operation), Dato' Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management and Professionalism), Dato Junipah Wandi; Director of MACA, Dato' Haji ldris Zaharudin; Pro Vice-Chancellor International from NTU, UK, Professor Cillian Ryan; and MACC Division Directors.
