MACC Launches AIMS

PUTRAJAYA, 12 MARCH The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today launched the Agency Integrity Management System (AIMS) virtually during the MACC Top Management Meeting with MACC Officers Seconded to External Agencies (MPSAL) Series 29 No. 1 Year 2021 at MACC Headquarters.

AIMS is a system to be used by the Integrity Unit (UI) at Public Agency, Statutory Body, Integrity and Governance Unit (IGU) and Government-Linked Company (GLC) to record and present periodical reports involving the implementation of UI and IGU functions to the Agency Integrity Management Division (BPIA), MACC.

The MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki said BPIA as the Division that manages UI has implemented various new initiatives in ensuring the efficiency for the implementation of this function can be coordinated, reviewed and monitored. Among these were the creation of AIMS.

"This report system will become a medium for not only receiving anti-corruption activity reports which were implemented by the agency but also analysing and producing executive reports towards the overall activities of the agency.

At the same time, it also integrates data on the development of organisational profiles, UI structure, applying risks and implementing governance initiatives such as Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) and procedures for Corruption Risk Management (CRM) which are useful as references for other divisions in MACC," he said.

The system has been developed and improved by BPIA and Record Application Branch, Record and Information Management Division (BPRM) and 2enapps Sdn Bhd, the appointed supplier before being presented to the MACC Top Management.

AIMS is expected to be used by UI and IGU in the upcoming report for the First Half of 2021.

Also present in the meeting were Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil; Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations), Dato' Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya; Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management and Professionalism), Dato' Junipah Wandi; Divisional Directors as well as MACC officers stationed in external agencies as Integrity Unit Heads or Integrity Officer.
