MACC Investigations Professional And Complies With SOP

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) denies allegations that they received instructions to hide evidence and threaten witnesses in the investigation of a case involving a senior officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji.

MACC stresses that it is always professional and complies with the 'rules of law' in conducting investigations without being influenced by any party.

The MACC arrests or detains suspects to assist in the investigation with proper evidence.

The MACC is always in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs), laws and regulations that are prescribed in conducting transparent, independent and professional investigations without favouring any individual or organisation to purge the country of corruption, malpractice and abuse of power.

The act of issuing statements by any party or individual regarding the case under investigation may interfere with the exercise of the investigation, which also seems to force the MACC to expose the outcome of the investigation to the community.
