MACC Investigates Affidavit by Court of Appeal Judge

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirms to have met with the Court of Appeal Judge, YA Datuk Dr. Hamid Sultan Abu Baker at his chambers at the Palace of Justice Putrajaya today to seek clarification on the affidavit he had issued recently.

No statement was recorded by MACC during the meeting and YA Datuk Dr. Hamid Sultan Abu Baker suggested to set up a special task force towards establishing the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI). The MACC will review the information from the affidavit and will continue to investigate if it has a basis on corruption and abuse of power in accordance with the provisions of the law stipulated under the MACC Act 2009.

Members of the public with information on the matters stated in the affidavit are urged to make a report at the nearest MACC office. Every whistleblower will be protected under the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010.
