Dialogue Session on Public Fund Leakage with Penang State Mosque Management

GEORGETOWN , 26 March MACC Penang in collaboration with the Penang State Mosque has organised an anti-corruption programme “Rasuah: Hidup Senang Di Dunia, Merana Di Akhirat attended by 100 mosque committee around North East District together with local district community.


 

The programme began with opening remarks by TPj Mohd Fuad Bee bin Haji Basrah, Director of MACC Penang. He emphasised on the main role of the Mosque Institution as a centre for human development and education of  spiritual and physical aspects. The session also focused on issues of leakage of Public Funds in terms of financial management of mosques, as well as the obligation to report corruption crimes stipulated in the MACC Act 2009.


The programme ensued with a tazkirah session delivered by PU Dr. Taha Omar who called for the act of eating from illegal sources such as bribery to be shunned to the giver and recipient, followed by a dialogue session by TPj Mohd Fuad Bee bin Haji Basrah.

 


Also present were KPKPj Mohd Shukor Mahmud, Deputy Director of Operations, PKPj Chin Chen Huat, Deputy Director of Prevention, PPj Roslan bin Deraoh, Head of Seberang Perai Branch, PsK Khairul Ridzuan bin Ikhsan, Head of State Investigation and PsK Geetha a/p Ayaoo, Head of PenMas Unit and staff members of MACC Penang.
