MACC Insists Justin Needs To Appear And Cooperate
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) denied not issuing any notice to the Chief Executive Officer of Sersol Bhd, Datuk Wira Justin Lim Hwa Tat to assist in the investigation of the Commission's case as he claimed recently, while the MACC has tried to trace him in that matter.
The MACC went to two of his residences in Kuala Lumpur on June 26 to hand over the notice but found out that one of the premises had been sold while the other was not occupied by him.
On the same date, MACC also went to his office in Kuala Lumpur and Johor but Justin was not there.
While checking with the Malaysian Immigration Department, MACC found out that Justin had left the country last February and there was no record of re-entering the country.
Thus, the MACC has issued a press statement on 12th July 2023 which is complete with the phone number and email of the investigating officer to locate Justin, and the statement is an official and valid notice.
The MACC is ready to accept any legal action from Justin in this matter but insists that the Chief Executive Officer of Sersol Bhd must first come forward to cooperate with the Commission regarding the investigation of the case.
