MACC Strategy

The MACC adopts a three-pronged strategy in fighting corruption in line with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Act 2009 (Act 694) (Section 7):

Enforcement

  • Detect corruption offenses; and
  • Investigate corruption offences

Prevention

  • Detect the risk of corruption in work practices, systems and procedures; and
  • Advise (as deem necessary) on the likelihood of the occurrence of corruption.

Community Education

  • Educate the public against corruption
  • Enlist and foster public support against corruption
