The MACC adopts a three-pronged strategy in fighting corruption in line with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Act 2009 (Act 694) (Section 7):
Enforcement
- Detect corruption offenses; and
- Investigate corruption offences
Prevention
- Detect the risk of corruption in work practices, systems and procedures; and
- Advise (as deem necessary) on the likelihood of the occurrence of corruption.
Community Education
- Educate the public against corruption
- Enlist and foster public support against corruption
