Anti-corruption Committee (JAR)

    The Anti-Corruption Committee (JAR) is one of the mechanisms under the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 1 of 2018 Enhancing Governance, Integrity and Anti-corruption in the Malaysian Government Administration Management: National Mechanism for the Management of Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption. The objectives of JAR are to:

    1. Increase the Government’s commitment in corruption eradication and enhancing the nation’s image.
    2. Generate synergy in ensuring the Government administration system can be mobilized in an environment with zero tolerance to corruption; and
    3. Strengthen the quality of Government service delivery system based on principles of transparency, accountability and competitiveness.
      1. Four (4) terms of reference are employed under this Committee, which are:

        1. Policy, Law and Regulation
        2. System and Work Procedure
        3. Governance and Integrity Enhancement
        4. Detection, Compliance, Punitive and Rehabilitation
          1. The National-level Anti-Corruption Committee Meeting (JAR) is chaired by the Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia while meetings at the Ministry, State Government, Department and Agency levels are chaired by the Secretary-general of the Ministry, State Secretary as well as Head of Department and Agency. This meeting is conducted three (3) times a year.
