A total of 266 graduates consisting of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers have received a certificate of completion at the 1st MACC Law Enforcement Accredited Programme Convocation 2022 which takes place at Dewan Perdana, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Putrajaya today
The accredited program covers the Postgraduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership (Level 7) and Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5).
There were a total of 126 graduates for the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) Cohort 1/2018 while the Postgraduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership (Level 7) Cohort 1/2019 has 55 graduates.
Meanwhile, the graduates of the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) Cohort 2/2021 were numbered at 52, while the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) For In Service MACC Officer Cohort 1/2021 were as many as 33 graduates.
The program, organized by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom (NTU, UK) have constructed and implemented the accredited study programs, specifically for MACC officers.
The collaboration between MACA, MACC and NTU, UK was a recognition of the MACC's effort to improve the competence, academic qualifications and competitiveness of MACC officers to meet the needs of the anti-corruption profession in Malaysia and internationally.
This collaboration was a benchmark of the quality of education provided by MACA to reach the level of higher education institution. In addition, graduates who have completed the programme can further their studies at higher levels.
The graduation certificates were presented by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) of NTU, UK, Professor Cillian Ryan and witnessed by the Chief Commissioner of MACC, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Azam Baki.
At the ceremony, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Azam Baki also presented four awards to students who have successfully recorded the highest academic achievements according to cohort groups.
The best student for the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) Cohort 1/2018 was awarded to Muhammad Irfan Mohd Azmi.
Meanwhile, the best student for the Postgraduate Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Leadership (Level 7) Cohort 1/2019 was awarded to Nur Athikah Aziz.
Izatul Mohd Iznan was awarded the best student for the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) Cohort 2/2021.
Meanwhile, Mohd Suhaimi Mohamed Yusof emerged as the best student for the Professional Diploma in International Law Enforcement: Anti-Corruption Studies (Level 5) for in Service MACC Officer Cohort 1/2021.
Also present during the event, MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management and Professionalism), Dato' Indera Junipah Wandi; Principal Lecturer In Policing And International Law Enforcement School Of Social Sciences NTU, UK, Phil Rudkin; Director of MACA, Dato' Haji Idris Zaharudin, department heads, divisional and state directors of MACC.
