MACC – The First Enforcement Agency to Launch PUBG Mobile i-Challenge

PUTRAJAYA, 11 August – The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Azam Baki launched the MACC Player Unknown Battle Ground Mobile (PUBGM) i-Challenge in the effort to approach the e-community.

This program is an e-community or e-society direct approach platform which indirectly gives them exposure to the overall function of MACC.

The strategic partner to the production and technical coordination of this program is the Malaysia E-Sport Federation (MESF) that assist MACC Headquarters and MACC State Offices to conduct this program.

Datuk Seri Azam said, MACC is the first enforcement agency that has taken an e-sport approach as a platform to apply anti-corruption messages to the community.

“E-Sport PUBG Mobile was chosen as the foundation for this program because this game has a large following group and was successful in forming a large online community consist of those between the age of 12 to 60 years old. This is the chance should be taken by MACC to apply anti-corruption education so the public are free corruption.

“This program will begin from 17 August until 6 September 2020. The addition of anti-corruption elements will be the main content especially in terms of audio, visual, graphics and video” he explained.

In addition, the content of the anti-corruption messages becomes a compulsory viewing to all participants and viewers during the time gap to the next match. Participants can also answer quizzes about corruption crimes.

This competition involves participation from all over the country whereby the prevention and education aspect is an important element in achieving MACC’s mission to create a corruption free community.

In attendance were MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Shamshun Baharin Mohd. Jamil; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations), Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya; MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management and Professionalism), Dato' Junipah Wandi; MESF President, Dato' Ananth S. Nathan and MACC Division and State Directors.
