Public Officers Should Perform Transparently
BUKIT KIARA, 12 August - Public officers should perform their duties with complete trust in providing services transparently so they are able to achieve the desired goals.
The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Azam Baki said, in working environment, public officers must perform their responsibilities effectively without fear or favouritism.
“Public officers should make corruption cases as examples and boundaries when performing a task.”
“All public officers should not be involved in corruption because this practice will erode the ethics and integrity culture in an organization,” he added.
He mentioned it during the Integrity Talk Program: “Abhor Corruption, Uphold Pride” at the Auditorium of National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Bukit Kiara.
He added, public officers should avoid things that can lead them to corruption such as practicing lavish lifestyle, gambling, being greedy and burdened with heavy debt.
Meanwhile, MACC will continue being committed to assist the country in improving the economy by reducing financial leakage through proactive investigative actions.
160 participates from the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management Programme (DPA) INTAN Year 2020 were present in the event.
