PASIR GUDANG, 10 Jan - A Hi Tea Event and Section 17(A) Seminar with the top management of Idemitsu Sdn. Bhd., co-organised with Johor MACC, was held today. Idemitsu Sdn. Bhd. is a chemical base manufacturing company, leading a prominent brand in Japan and based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

This event is one of MACC's efforts to approach private organisations to build cooperative ties in curbing corruption focused on corporate bodies. To promote this agenda, PPj Koo Lik Chi delivered an informative briefing on Section 17(A), thus giving a detailed exposure on the corporate liability offence under Section 17(A) of the MACC Act 2009, which came into force on 1 June 2020.

To express support towards efforts exercised by MACC, a Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) ceremony was also held as a symbol of Idemitsu Sdn Bhd's commitment to stand with MACC in fighting corruption.

The IBR ceremony was led by Madam Nursaadah Ahmad, Head of HRA & IT of Idemitsu Sdn Bhd and witnessed by PPj Koo Lik Chi, Head of the Inspection and Consultation Unit, Johor MACC. 15 of Idemitsu's top management officers took the IBR.
