MACC & MAF Signed Memorandum Of Cooperation

Putrajaya, 7 Jan- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) today signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to establish a close relationship and share expertise in the aspect of corruption prevention.

The MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations), Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya said, the cooperation between the MACC and the MAF has long been established and this intention was enhanced by the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the MACC and the MAF.

“The strategic partnerships included the sharing of expertise in the detection and eradication of corruption cases, consistent dissemination of information, smart sharing sessions such as related training to enhance skills and competencies in corruption prevention. This included the effort to increase integrity towards enhancing joint capacity and capability in combating corruption crimes.

“It is hoped that the result of this cooperation will further facilitate the MACC investigation process to help trace relevant documents as contained in the terms of notice of this cooperation, ”he said.

He added that this platform of cooperation can help in MACC investigations, especially in terms of technical aspects and expertise involving the procurement of ATM projects.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the MACC Senior Director of Investigation, Dato’ Hishamuddin Hashim together with the Chief Provost Marshal of the MAF, Brigadier General Dato' Haji Mislan Anuar and witnessed by Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi and the MAF Headquarters Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Zakaria Haji Yadi.
