Integrity Is The Catalyst To Organisation Excellence

SHAH ALAM, 22 Nov. - The responsibility and accountability in ensuring the success of the Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) is based on the designated group of implementers as well as the top management.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption (MACC) Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali said that the Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) is an anti-corruption policy document at the organisational level that aims to address problems and weaknesses related to corruption, governance and integrity in an organisation.

“I would like to state that the success of the OACP depends a lot on the capacity and capability of its implementing officers. The systems and procedures need to be tested, tuned and refined, risk assessment needs to be recalculated, while policies, procedures and internal controls need to evolve.”

“Investing in governance is expensive and requires time and strategic planning, but the return on investment is lucrative. Therefore, adequate budget allocation to manage the improvement of work processes related to anti-corruption control and governance should be given due attention,” he said.

He added that the MACC welcomes the cooperation of all parties, especially the Selangor State Secretary's Office (SUK) in implementing anti-corruption prevention and education programs and hopefully this cooperation can be enhanced in the future.

He said this while attending the OACP Launching Ceremony and the MACC Integrity Forum with the Selangor State Government at the Perak Jubilee Auditorium Hall, Selangor State Secretariat today. The ceremony was organised by the Former MACC Officers Association and attended by 120 participants.

Also in attendance were Selangor State Secretary, YB Dato’ Hj. Haris Kasim, the Members of Selangor State Executive Council; Selangor Chief Syarie Judge, Dato’ Mohammad Adib Husain; Director of Selangor MACC Office, Dato’ Alias Salim and the President of Former MACC officers, Dato' Mazlan Mohamad.
