CEIO Plays Vital Role In Assisting Organisation To Fight Corruption

Putrajaya. 29 June - The Certified Integrity Officer (CelO) plays a vital role today in assisting an organisation to implement misappropriation and corruption prevention efforts through the functions of the Integrity Unit. 

In her keynote speech, the Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management & Professionalism) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Dato' Junipah Wandi said that the CelO is an agent of change who creates an excellent work environment that rejects corruption entirely. 

“The CelO accreditation officer must perform their duties with excellence and with full integrity as an exemplary leader to be emulated  as a role model in the organisation. 

“The CelO must have integrity because it is an important element to develop one’s character, ethics, image and identity, if it were to be normalised in society irrespective of race, religion, nation and country," she said. 

She said that during the Closing Ceremony  of the Certified Integrity Officer (Perak State Secretary) Series 27 No.2/2021 Program which was held virtually. 

The  program was  hosted by the Corporate Integrity Development Centre (CIDC) of the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA). 

Meanwhile, the Perak Chief Minister, Dato' Saarani Mohamad officiated the Closing Ceremony of the program. 

Dato' Saarani said this program can drive the implementation of the National Integrity Plan (PIN) and later the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) where the CelO will act as a focal point to conduct  integrity strengthening programs at their respective agencies. 

Also present was the State Secretary of Perak, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.
