Chief Commissioner Supports The Efforts Of Kasa In Fighting Corruption

Putrajaya, 24 June - The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Azam Baki supports the efforts by the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA) to fight corruption in its enforcement activities on environmental issues of the country. 

Datuk Seri Azam said the OACP (Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan) can assist the ministry to ensure the task of taking care of the environment is implemented with a full sense of responsibility without any elements of a lack of integrity by all parties. 

"This plan will assist the achievement of the mission and vision as well as improve the quality of services provided by KASA. If the environment is not protected with integrity, it will cause many problems in the future," he said. 

He said that during the KASA 2021-2025 OACP Book Launch Ceremony which was held virtually today. 

He added that starting from September 2019 until this month, MACC has assisted 65 government and private agencies in their efforts to develop their own Anti-Corruption Plan. 

The launch was officiated by the Minister of Environment and Water, Dato' Sri Tuan lbrahim Tuan Man. Also present were the Deputy Minister of KASA, Dato' Dr. Ahmad Masrizal Mohammad and Secretary General of KASA, Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang.
