JKKN, MACC Organise 3 Cultural Programs To Disseminate Anti-Corruption Messages

Kuala Lumpur, 4 May - The National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN), in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will organise three cultural programs with an anti-corruption theme to raise community awareness to fight corruption in this country. 

The organisation of these three programs were following the success of the 'Tak Nak Rasuah' Dikir Barat Competition which was held at JKKN Kelantan Auditorium Complex on 27th April 2019, based on the joint collaboration of both parties. 

The MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki said, by organising the three programs, the MACC hopes that anti-corruption messages can be widely disseminated through cultural activities in order for practitioner and enthusiast of the arts to understand and practise integrity values and reject corruption activities. 

"The three programs will be held in June and September which will be conducted respectively in Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Malacca. 

"The first program to be organised is the 'Adat Pepatih Melingkari Hidup Berintegriti' Anti-Corruption Colloquium which will be held on 26 June at JKKN Negeri Sembilan Auditorium Complex. 

"For the second and third program which are the 'Tak Nak Rasuah' Battle of the Bands Competition and Dondang Sayang Poem Competition with an Anti-Corruption Theme which will be held on the 4th September and 25th September with each held at Civic Hall Auditorium, Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Selangor and Panggung Seri Complex JKKN Malacca respectively. 

He said that during the 2021 JKKN and MACC Strategic Collaboration Program Press Conference at JKKN Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Auditorium, here, today. 

He added that the approach is also seen making arts and culture as an effective medium to educate and gain community support in the effort to fight corruption. 

Also present were the MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil; Director of MACC Community Education Division (PenMas), Datuk Razim Mohd. Noor; Director of MACC Strategic Communication Division, PKPJ Kamaruddin M. Ripin and Directors of MACC State Offices.
