Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency Paid Courtesy Visit to MACC
PUTRAJAYA, 22 APRIL – Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has paid a courtesy visit to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) here, today.
The delegation that was led by the Director-General of MMEA, Maritime Admiral Dato’ Mohd Zubil Mat Som was received by the MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Azam Baki.
During the visit, Maritime Admiral Dato’ Mohd Zubil has discussed for about one hour on various issues, especially related to the corruption prevention and abuse of power.
Datuk Seri Azam also expressed the MACC's readiness to continue working with MMEA in sharing expertise in the operations sector as well as its willingness to assist the enforcement agency in forming a strong investigation coordination in curbing corruption crimes from continuing to occur.
Besides that, this meeting is also a chance and opportunity for both organisations to spread good practices and a space for cooperation in preventing corruption consistently and holistically.
Also present, the Deputy Director-General (Operations) Vice-Admiral Kamaruszaman Bin Haji Abu Hassan; Director of Maritime Security and Surveillance Division, Rear Admiral Maritime, Datuk Saiful Lizan Ibrahim; Deputy Director of Investigation MACC, TPj Datuk Izani Wan Ishak and the Deputy Director of Intelligence Division MACC (Zone Control) KPKPj Galan Ngadit who represent other directors.
