CeIO Program Sparks an integrity work culture

Kuala Lumpur, 6 April — The Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) Program has become a strong pillar in creating a work culture of integrity and effective service delivery in an organization.

The Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) of MACC, Dato' Sri Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil said the role would be implemented through the responsibility of the Integrity Unit in ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, systems and procedures as well as inculcating a culture of zero tolerance against abuse of power, corruption and malpractice among its employees.

“Integrity is an important element in the formation of personality, ethics, image and identity that must be cultivated in society regardless of race, religion, ethnicity and country.

"Integrity is an important agenda and needs to be emphasized in the service delivery system by the respective organizations," he said.

Dato 'Sri Shamshun mentioned this while officiating the Closing Ceremony of the Public Sector Certified Integrity Officer Program Series 26, Number 1/2021 organized by the Malaysian Anti -Corruption Academy (MACA) at the RISDA Headquarters here today.

He added, in line with the new norms, participants in this series have also produced videos of integrity and anti-corruption campaign messages to be shared on social media platforms.

The course this time was held virtually and has successfully trained and certified a total of 68 participants from various public agencies as CeIO.

Earlier, an Integrity Sustainability Seminar was conducted titled Integrity Challenges of New Norms - Transparent and Integrity Service Offering which featured Panel Members namely Deputy Director General of Public Service, Datuk Seri Haji Suhaime bin Mahbar; Deputy Director of the Integrity and Compliance Department of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Dato' Allaudeen Abdul Majid and Chief Imam of Sultan Ahmad 1 State Mosque, Dato' Badli Shah Haji Alauddin. Tuan Sayed Munawar Sayed Mohd Mustar was the moderator for this session.

Also present RISDA Director General, Tuan Abdullah Zainal and the MACA Director, Dato' Hj Idris Zaharudin.
