In the effort towards making the Integrity Unit function as a platform to instil integrity in an organisation, BPIA places clear direction that the aspects of human resources, systems and processes are the main factors that Public Sector Integrity Units should focus on.

Various initiatives were undertaken to improve the capabilities of an Integrity Unit Officer by implementing programmes and sharing best practices to enhance skill and capability, particularly within the six (6) core functions of an Integrity Unit. The Integrity Unit Officer must enhance skills in identifying risky areas that are prone to integrity violations for holistic implementation of the Integrity Unit’s strategy and action plan.
