TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD

Telekom Malaysia was chosen as a example organisation primarily due to its efforts in considering ethics and anti-corruption when doing business.

TM was involved in the significant Lucent-Alcatel case of which corrupt practices were undertaken to obtain business. However, the company after facing much scrutinization, debarment and charges have now undertaken strategic measures to ensure the anti-corruption is on their agenda. There is a clear commitment from top level management and this is portrayed by the following anti-corruption measures and initiative undertaken by the organisation as shown below. The current changes and initiatives set an example for other companies to follow. These anti-corruption measures include:

1) Becoming a CIP signatory

2) Anti-corruption initiatives reported in Annual Report

3) TM Anti-corruption guide
